NATIONAL BUSINESS PARTNERSHIPS

Client: U.S. Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration

Summary Objective: Businesses have a need for skilled workers to fill positions. The Employment Service is assisting in finding positions for unemployed workers. The Employment and Training Administration (ETA) wants to facilitate including businesses in its One-Stop system of services and initiates the National Business Partnerships to open up a connection between large multi-state employers and state/local workforce agencies. ETA now needs to disseminate information on the initiative to a broad audience.

Solution: The National Business Partnerships website - National Business Partnership features spotlight pages for the business partners that link to their corporate web sites and provide information about hiring processes, job descriptions and requirements, company information and current positions among other items. XPAND created an on-line location system for each partner that enables users to find the partner place of business and/or One-Stop service center closest to their home. XPAND also provides a feedback feature for user comments about the website and questions on partnership which allows designated account representatives to review the comments and respond accordingly. Current partners include Home Depot, Allstate Insurance, Toys"Я"Us, Jiffy Lube, Kmart, and Rainbow Apparel Company.
